Luis is very. attentive and welcoming, it was my first time here I ordered a steak taco, for less than. $5.00 I was served chips, exquisite red salsa and a glass of fresh water, the service is amazing, a peaceful atmosphere. I loved it.

My husband is from Honduras, so we love finding places that serve authentic Honduran food. We live in Modesto, so driving all the way to San Francisco for Honduran food is always a mission, that’s why we’re so happy to have La Frontera in Hayward, which is about an hour closer and absolutely worth the drive! We usually order the Pollo Frito with fried bananas, and it is so delicious, crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. I also highly recommend the traditional baleada, the handmade flour tortillas are soft, fresh, and full of that authentic homemade flavor. Our little one loves them too! If you’re in the mood for something refreshing, try the maracuyá (passion fruit) juice. It’s fresh, tropical, and bursting with flavor. And if you prefer something classic, the banana-flavored soda, Tropical, is the bomb! Those are honestly the only two dishes we’ve tried so far, but everything I’ve seen come out of the kitchen looks amazing. The food is always full of flavor and never disappoints. If you’re craving real Honduran food and don’t want to make the long trip to San Francisco or San Jose, La Frontera is the perfect spot. Delicious food, friendly service, and a taste of home just an hour closer!

Friendly staff, I got the fried fish plate, and it was sooo good! My boyfriend got the enchiladas rojas, and they were delicious! I also had the tamarindo drink, AND IT WAS GOOOOD.

Give it a shot. My 3rd time here in 10 days. It is a hole in a hole in the wall but the food is FIRE ! UPDATE: Been here about 20 times now. My go to South of the border restaurant. Never disappoints.

I got a Coca-Cola and she gave me a chocolate candy for Mother's Day! Thank you dear, so sweet of you! I did not see food around and nobody was in there. That is why I don't rate the food and the atmosphere.

We are visiting from Texas and found this small spot here while looking for something to eat. The place is small but there wasn’t anyone in there so we didn’t have to wait. I ordered Enchiladas suizas, and the wife ordered Pollo Con Tajadas. The enchiladas were good and well seasoned but the pollo con tajadas was AMAZING !! 10/10 recommend. This place is a mixture of Mexican and Honduran food so they had many options to choose from.
